Go Northwest provides group education workshops on a variety of financial management topics including monthly First Time Homebuyer classes for which clients earn a certificate. See the schedule of upcoming classes here.

Go Northwest provides 1 on 1 counseling to help potential buyers ready themselves for homeownership. Certified housing counselors help clients analyze their budget, credit, mortgage loan products and incentive programs to develop and agreed action plan to realize the buyers purchase goals.

Go Northwest counselors are trained to assist homeowners facing financial hardship and mortgage delinquency. In 1 on 1 counseling sessions counselors help clients develop a crisi budget including community resource referrals. They ensure clients understand the optios they have with their mortgage company to avoid or cure delinquency, as well as, any outside programs that can help prevent loss of home and protect equity position. In the case that their are no options to retin the home, counselor will assist clients with making a dignified transition to alternative housing whenever possible.

Healthy Neighborhoods oversees a $35 million private loan fund and provides special below-market loans to homebuyers and homeowners in Baltimore City to encourage investment and standard-setting renovation. Healthy Neighborhoods provides four innovative loans to eligible borrowers. GO Northwest staff is the Partner Organization for the 11 Northwest Baltimore communities eligible for Healthy Neighborhoods assistance.

Go Northwest staff work a hybrid schedule. We cannot accomodate unscheduled walk-ins nor do we allow original documents to be dropped off. A counselor will reach out to schedule you once legible copies of all requested documents are received. Appointments are typically available within 3-5 business days by phone or online. Your counselor will provide the link or dial in information once scheduled. If you are unable to provide your documents electronicall through one of the above means, you will need to schedule an in-person appointment. In-person appointments are available one day per week. Please use our this link to request in person appointments or to ask additional questions.
